Questionable charges related to leased equipment thru Northern Leasing

Received letter from SKS Associates re: lease of equipment thru Northern leasing. Letter dated 3/9 not received until 3/18.

States that an audit was conducted and I owed taxes and related filing costs in the amount of $195.00 which is to be debited from my account on 3/22.

Lease was cancelled in 3/06, bank account was left active for 3 months to accomodate any charges which never came through.

It seems companies like this are a major problem in this country. Audits need to be done in a reasonable amount of time after the account cancellation and I don't think 5 years is reasonable. I have contaced my bank to alert them of this fraudulent business activity and am sending letters to all agencies that might help.

I sincerely hope that all of us can make a difference and close this rip off company down. They acquired Northern leasing and in addition to whatever profits they also have to accept whatever losses if there in fact has been any.
