Manager Treating Associates Like Trash - Animal Care

I was in the Petsmart on Baltimore Pike in Springfield Pennsylvania tonight, and was appalled at the behavior of the manager on duty towards the associates. The manager in question is a tall, thin african american gentleman, whom I have often seen walking the sales floor on his cell phone during my shopping trips there, but tonight's behavior took the cake.

A young lady with medium brown hair was in the pet area taking care of the reptiles and he berated her for feeding them, telling her that she was taking too long with them and that they didn't need attention or food. This from a manager at a petstore?!

The cashier, a young lady with short blond hair, was told by this same manager that she was not doing her job because she stopped in an aisle to ask a customer if they needed help, and answered the customer's questions. Now I've received the survey on my receipt and I know that customer service is important to Petsmart's image, so this from a manager was unbelievable.

Customer service is not high on this manager's priority list apparently, but making the associates feel horrible and belittling them on the sales floor in front of customers and other associates apparently is. It makes the entire store look bad that they allow this manager to behave this way, and they will lose a lot of business and good workers if they don't make him watch himself! To treak another person like that, especially at thier job and in front of peers and/or customers is beyond wrong and should be dealt with immediately.in my opinion, this manager needs retraining on his job and how to treat his coworkers. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and consideration, especially in public.
