Ourexperience: we were looking for a reputable painting contractor, and selectedJeff based on his quote being the lowest. This was quite the mistake. We gavehim the required 40% cash deposit up front (for “materials”), and then hedidn't even show up to paint when he said he would.

About a week later, he sentus an email giving a new quote (much higher), and offered to give our depositback if we weren't interested. We asked for our money back, which is when hestarted to give us the silent treatment.

He kept saying he was putting it inthe mail week after week, which turned into month after month - and then he wasnever to be heard from again. Hekept saying that he was waiting on money to come in, which means he spent ourdeposit.

Honestly, I could see this guy having a drug problem - something serious like that. He's pretty unstable - you can tell justfrom meeting him. I went against my gut feeling to use him for this work in thefirst place - I guess when you are being cost conscious, the lower quote wins.

Anyway, this whole situation has been quite annoying and I want to warn the Craigslistcommunity and others because he uses websites like that as a main means to get business/findpeople to rip off.
