Ford O. Rogers Would not return security deposit or overpayment of board fees

Entered into a boarding contract for field board @ $300/mo plus $75 per month for horse to be brought into barn and fed two lbs of feed twice daily. I entered the information into the contract that she would be changed to full board for winter and spring at a charge of $500 all inclusive. During the first month she was only fed one (1 lb.) butter container of feed twice daily. She was immediately put into a field of a herd of appx. 12-15 horses (including two geldings that I later found out were gelded late and VERY studdish) and was immediately surrounded and kicked.

She arrived on the premises with only one front shoe and despite my requests was NEVER seen by the farrier as promised until, allegedly, the Fri before I had her moved on a Sunday. I moved into the barn on the 20th of Aug, gave my notice to leave on Sep 11, moved her on Sep 19. I asked for an accounting my the monied paid versus the services received but the management would not comply. I was told that the money was not available to refund my deposit. I continued to email without results and finally had to file a lawsuit. My suit did prevail however, it took me 5 months to receive my deposit.
