Incorrect upgrade and bad customer service and double termination fees result in over $1000.00 past due - current charges $8.30

The first four months were as expected, then the higher bills came in, upon calling customer service it was suggested that I upgrade, that was just the beginning of 7 months of problems. I had to call every month and explain from the beginning because you never get the same person when you call and they have no idea who the last person was. Every month I received explanations on how the last person did not follow thru with the changes and the credits also apologies for the inconvenience, hanging up falsley feeling that it had finally been resolved.

Then, out of nowhere the phones were shut off completely, I had to go to a pay phone to get thru and my number did not match, when I finall reached someone, we were disconnected, so I tried the dealer who sold me the plan. After a new credit check the phones were turned back on, and the explanation that I had been sent to collections for a past due amount from three months prior.

Collections does not receive all the correspondence that went along with the charges that never showed on my statements. Two weeks later the phones were shut off again, upon calling I was told that even with a payment they would have to do another credit check and require a deposit to turn the phones back on. Don't trust your dealer, I was informed that my dealer set the termination date when he helped me to restore service. Now the bill is over $1000.00 because I have two phones that show termination of service two times. The contract states that all amount due must be paid before disputes will be considered, however, due to Cingular's negligence in the past with service and charges this consumer has decided that it will take far too long to get any refund for money I do not owe. Updates on this fight will be forthcoming.
