Sam Barker Abusive Husband was just the beginning. Second course was trusting Divorce Attorney from Pre-Piad Legal

Was in an abusive Marrage for over a decade and decited to get out. No job, no money, and nursing injuries recieved at work shortly before. I had support from friends and my Mother but not the same as my astranged Husband.

Signed up for and hired Pre-Paid Legal. I signed up for the package that makes it possible to start a business and sell services but I told myself never sell what you don't believe in so I would use the services first. Sam Barker was the third attorney on this divorce. I told him everything about the previous attornies and how they botched things up so I was pretty confident that all would go well.

As time went on and on and on I would question things and finely he got mad and threatened to stop helping me if I did not stop asking him questions. I felt I had no choice due to not being able to pay him since a friend of mine and I parted ways. I felt victumized again but hoped that the laws in Utah would help me.

At the trial, My Attorney came in to court with no paper or pen of his own and asked for some of mine. He just let the other side do what ever they wanted without objecting to much. Things that had nothing to do with divorce were brought up that my attorney did not defend me on when he knew what was going on. And the first half of the evidence I gave him months before were missing from the book that is made for the judge and apposing counsel.

3 Weeks later I get a call from Sam Barker and he tells me that I get nothing from marriage, that judge upheld the contempt order and if I dont come up with over 5 thousand dollars I will go to jail for 20 days. I was numb and called the friend that was supporting me before and told him what had happened and that I couldn't pay him back and that I was going to jail. Friend told me that the memebership that he had been paying on my behalf was now terminated and that he would take over.

I was told by people to stand up for myself and not take the abuse anymore. I stood up and did just that and now I am being abused by my attorney and the Utah justice system. To be honest if I had to do it all again, knowing what I know now? I would not have signed up for pre-paid legal and I am sure not going to sell it to anyone.
