Services Unlimited Plus
Ripoff does not honor their pledge

Shops, Products, Services

The following is a correspondence that I had with a fellow named "Chuck" (there is no one on the website named Chuck) concerning subscriptions that I have yet to receive.

Date: Tue, 9 Sep 2003 13:37: 03 -0700 (PDT)

On May 09 I ordered two subscriptions, one for Mustang 5.0 (D152450) and one for Time (D152449). On May 14 the check that was written to your company was cleared by my bank totaling $76. The receipts that I have clearly say that my first issues should be received within 120 days. Thursday, Sept. 11 will be day 120 and I have yet to receive either of my magazines.

I ordered these magazine because I enjoy them and I have a subscription to them. Yet now that my subscription to them is run out I am no longer receiving them because someone within your company has dropped the ball. I would like to know where my magazines are at and why they are not at my home? I was disturbed when I did a search on the internet for your company and found this as the top link through Google.

Now you can either correct this by honoring your pledge: Services Unlimited Plus strives to provide our customers with the highest quality subscription services possible, as taken directly from your own website. I would not have spent $38 on a subscription for a magazine that I could get for $15 if I knew I was going to get scammed and I was not helping out a kid.

Somewhere during the course of processing your order, there was an error. You are probably currently receiving two magazines, Maxim and Car Craft. These are the publications that are listed on the copies of the receipts that were turned into us by the independent contractor who visited you.

We do want to live up to the statement that you have quoted from our website and have already begun to process an order for you for Time magazine. We are not, however, able to process orders for Mustang 5.0. We can process Mustang & Fords and Mustang Monthly. I will be happy to add one or both of these magazines to your order to make up for the inconvenience. Additionally, if there is another publication you would rather have in place of Mustang 5.0, I would be more than happy to put that subscription in place. Please reply and let me know what you would like to do about this unfortunate situation.

Thank you,

Chuck

I wondered why I received a copy of Maxim and Car Craft. I wanted neither of these, nor do I want the other Mustang publications. What is written down on the two receipts that I have is Time and 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords, these are the two that I wanted, I can send a copy of these for verification purposes if needed. I will accept Time only and none of the others.

I expect to see Maxim and Car Craft publications canceled, I also do not expect to see any type of charge on my account for this error since it was not made by me but either by your company or someone who was working on your behalf, whether an independent contractor or not. I also do not expect to pay $76 for the one publication therefore a reimbursement of $38 is desired.

Thank you for your quick and timely responce.

Randy

First of all, I think you may have misunderstood our offer to you. We were not going to charge you for any of the adjustments to your account. We were just trying to make things right with you. Additionally, I told you we could not process orders for a publication entitled Mustang 5.0, which is what you originally stated was written on your receipt.

We can, however, process 5.0 Mustang which you mention in your new message. I will be more than happy to put an order for this publication in place. I will place a stop delivery on the Car Craft and Maxim subscriptions, it may take up to two issues for this act to go into effect. You will receive 5.0 Mustang and Time only. If you did want to add any of the magazines mentioned in my earlier e-mail, I am also able to do this for no additional charge to you. If you have any more questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact us.

Thank you,

Chuck

I thought it was all taken care of, wrong!

WOW, Chuck! I am very impressed! You did absolutely NOTHING! It has been over three months since I last emailed you and you have not honored what you told me. You still owe me 1 year subscriptions to 5.0 Mustang and Time.

I have still been getting Car Craft and Maxim (my wife is very upset over this as well as my little girl). So much for living up to your pledge "Services Unlimited Plus strives to provide our customers with the highest quality subscription services possible". I knew this was going to happen, do not expect anytype of service from me at anytime in the future. What you can expect from me is a statement concerning your service left with the Better Business Bureau along with a letter from my lawyer. Thank you very much.

"Chuck" will indeed be getting a letter from my lawer.
