US Search Scam no service provided for fees paid Pompano Beach

I spoke with 'Fred' via his 800 number mid November to locate assets owned by my spouse whom has been stealing from me and whom I am divorcing. Gave him the details of the party to be investigated by phone and provided payment details Nov 17; he claimed the service would take 5-10 banking days.

By mid December I still had no response. Contacted him by email mid Dec and received an email reply directing me to call him with any questions. He won't respond with details in email. Called the 800 number again and this time was informed to be patient because it may take up to *20* banking days for the 'guys' to deliver the result.

By early Jan still no response; called Jan 4 and 'Fred' couldn't even locate my case by my phone number. He eventually claiimed to have found it by my last name however he then has the balls to tell me that it will be another 7-10 days because of thanksgiving! At this point I started to research Fred and came across similar accounts of services not provided by fred so I assume that I won't be receiving anything of value.

This fraud cost me only $400 but had a huge impact on my life. I ordered the search while overseas in order to challenge my wife's almost certainly false declaration of assets in our separation agreement; now that I'm back in the country I have nothing to confront her with and she's had another 2 months to hide her theft.

Keys to the success of his scam are that he avoids email communications and doesn't accept any form of payment that can be reversed.
