Myra's Toy Puppies Sells medically defective puppies I

Our Maltese puppy was born on November 3,1999. We purchased her on January 9 from Toy Puppies Inc. Myra of North Miami Beach, Fl. Shortly after taking possession of our female puppy, we were advised by our Vet that she had already undergone surgery for a Hernia. This fact was never disclosed to us prior to our selection and was the first of many surprises yet to come in her relatively short life.

At age 7, she was diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy in both eyes and lost her eyesight. We called Myra and informed her of this hereditary condition which was confirmed by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist. Myra denied all responsibility and ended the conversation.

Eighteen months later, she was diagnosed by a Veterinary Dermatologist with a major dermatology disorder and allergy which required extensive treatment and regular allergy shots.in the same year, she was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and required regular medication to control the thyroid function.

On December 6, she was diagnosed by a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist with Congestive Heart Failure and an enlarged heart. This condition apparently was caused by a defective mitral valve. Two weeks later, she developed and ear infection and yeast infection in the right ear.

On Christmas morning at 4:00 A.M., December 25, our baby girl suffered a massive heart attack and passed away.
