Do not hire them

Absolutely do not hire Power Brothers Remodeling. I hired Eddye (the owner) to paint my new, custom made fireplace mantel. I see he has posted pictures of the project on his website - which ticks me off even more. I hired him to spray the mantel with primer and a high gloss white finish to match my other trim (which was brushed, so the spray was supposed to create a brushless mirror like surface!). He sprayed in my house without tenting off the area - causing hundreds of dollars in cleaning bills for me as the paint dust got everywhere - coating everything in the house! Also, the mantel looks like absolute crap. There is no glossy finish - it barely looks primed when you get close to it (the distance pictures look good, but it is AWFUL up close). I told him I expected it to be glossy like the trim - he said "ooooh, that's different. That would be much more money" - unbelievable! I already paid him hundreds of dollars! He couldn't have spent more than 4 hours total at my house and claimed that he lost money on the job when I complained about the poor quality of his work - crazy! He also did not bring any help with him to install it so I had to help him (lift hundreds of pounds above my head being a 5'4" woman) - he damaged my walls and brand new paint job - and did NOT EVEN OFFER TO FIX IT! So bottom line - this guy is an amateur - does shoddy work - do not hire him.
