Lauren Studios Inc Work and No Pay

I worked for them during the fall of Summer 2007 and for a few events during those times. They are unprofessional and sloppy about the way they do business. On my first day helping them out, I showed up on location at Estanscia HS in Orange County. No one was there to help me out with assembling the equipment. There equipment is garbage and is low quality. Another photographer finally showed up 30 minutes late and was unorganized. During prom season I worked for a better more professional studio (OT Images) and they needed our help again. It was a 2-part event, shooting at school and on location. We were told we would be paid $200 for a 2-part job. We ended up being paid for only 1 part, we all disputed that we were told otherwise and never received the pay we were told. Aside from that, we never received one penny for the miles we drove in our own vehicles to and from event locations ever. I must have driven over a thousand miles and not a penny was reimbursed to me. I'm not the only person that has ever had to deal with this. The GM Daniel is the most incompetent idiot there. During the summer of 07 I was told that I would be paid $12/hr for helping them out again. I received minimum wage for a whole week!!! Very pissed off about that. No wonder they can't keep any photographers longer than a year or so. They don't pay!!! Plus they don't pay yo for driving to the location. You use your gas, mileage and your vehicle to take their lousy equipment and still don't get paid for it. Any up coming photographers, BEWARE. Don't work here. If you do, you'll be sorry
