Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing charges... Screaming Fit Gets Results!

This company's webpage was offered on one of the Auto Trader web sites as a place to check your credit free before applying for an Auto Loan.

You have to register to get the "FREE" report and wah lah... 1 month later you are charged $79.95 to your credit card or check card for what they call a "yearly membership fee". Evidently they just billed for next year as I see tons of reports about them. And when you try to dispute with them... You shall hear an entire spill about how it was on their web page under terms & conditions. (Not on the page where you get your free report however).

I followed the instructions here, called and pitched a fit and was TOLD the charges would be removed. We shall see they have 48 hours. My next step will be to write a dispute letter to my bank and then they will back out the amounts.

Just a note... I had also gotten my spouse's credit report so they charged me twice the $79.95. The person on the phone would only remove the charge for ME. I had to have my husband call to have the 2nd charge removed. Absolutely ridiculous since his name is not on the card they charged. The man on the phone's reply???"WE DON'T WHOSE NAME IS ON THE CARD".

I said " Oh you don't? I could have stolen a card and you wouldn't care? And you say you are not fraudulant?"

This is the type company you are dealing with!
