Walmart
Rude, liars, called cops

Hello Readers,

Before I start, I want to let you know that I fully intend to actually tell both sides of the story. I will be honest, and as specific as possible. Please read this, and respond if you have the time... BH

On Friday, November 28th around 2:00A.M. My brother & law, and myself decided to vist Walmart to do some shopping after a wonderful Thanksgiving. We decided to vist the Walmart Supercenter located approximately 1/8 of a mile from my apartment complex. When we entered the store, we were greeted promptly as usual by a veteran store greeter. We quickly replied, and went on our way. During our walk down one of the aisles, I tripped over a pallet that was sitting on a raised pallet jack hidden in between two displays. As soon as I tripped, the two employees in charge of the area looked at me, and went back to work with no type of comment. I was extremely upset at the fact that the pallet was sitting where it was, but it made me more angry that the staff did not even apologize, or attempt to correct the problem. I moved the pallet jack myself, and continued to walk. I thought about what had happened for a second, and requested the name of the employees so I could notify management regarding this matter, and the employee refused to several times to give me his name. He eventually said that his name was "nothing", and that was it. (Remember, I am telling both sides of the story) I do admit that as soon as he said that, I started raising my voice, and using profanity. I cursed him several times, and the manager eventually came around the corner with her hand radio. She was very apologetic @ the time, and assured me that this would be corrected. She looked @ my foot, and noticed that it was obvious I had tripped. She asked several times if I was okay, and I quickly advised her that I was, and I was not the type of person that hopes these things happen so I can sue, and complain. We exchanged a few more sentences with each other in a pleasant manner, and I went on. As we were shopping, I was still upset, and decided I would gather some information from the manager when we were finished shopping. As we approached the check out counter, the cashier was friendly as usual, and I told my brother and law that I was going to have the manager paged, and that he should wait for me at the front end of the store. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, the same manager came up front to assist me again. I asked kindly for some paper, and a pen so I could get some information regarding the staff members, and the store. She obliged kindly, and gave me a legal pad, with a pen. As I wrote her name down, I asked her if she was the senior manager in the store that evening, and she hesitantly said no. I told her that I had nothing against her, but I would prefer to speak with the top manager this time. She called him on the hand radio, and he eventually showed up after 5-10 minutes. I asked him general questions at first regarding the store number, and then explained the story to him per his request. When I asked him what his name was, he said Chuck, and refused to give me his last name, and even his last initial. This started to burn me up again, because why can't a Walmart manager give me his last name? He assured me that he was the only Chuck @ Walmart, and I did not need to know his last name. I then asked for the corporate address, and phone number. Chuck also refused to give me the corporate address, but did eventually give me the phone number to corporate. As I started asking other questions, he continued to tell me that he refused to give me any info, and the problem would be resolved. At this point I am hot, but I have not raised my voice, or used profanity. I requested that a report of this incident be made, and he told the assistant manager to go and get the forms. As she left, another man came up, and just stood next to Chuck. He refused to give his first, and last name as I continued to try and get info regarding the store, security, and employees. Since Chuck, and his no-named sidekick kept on with their attitudes, and glares, I asked Chuck how he would feel if this happened to him, or his wife. At that point, the no-name man threw his hands up at me, and told a clerk to call 911 on the hand radio. I was so confused, and kept asking them what I did, and no-name stated that I threatened his wife. I simply told him that I was asking a hypothetical question that needed to be asked so he could understand my anger, and frustration. They kept telling me to leave, and they were going to have me arrersted for tresspassing. At this point, there were problaly 10-15 male employees approaching me in an uncomfortable way, and I just started walking away. They told me that I had better be off the property before the deputies got there, or I would be in trouble. My brother and law had the keys to the truck, and I realized that I could not leave without them, so I walked back to my brother and law to get the keys (since he was still talking to the staff, trying to get my accident report) and a dozen of cop cars showed up speeding with lights on. I was shocked that this many deputies had shown up, and was scared to death. I was approached by a male deputy, and was asked to explain my story. The deputy was wonderful, and asked me who I had gotten physical with. I said what? The deputy then told me that Walmart called 911 stating that I was fighting the manager. I told the deputy that the information was totally false, and the security tapes would prove it if need be. He agreed, and told me the manager of Walmart wanted to trespass me off of the property. The deputy told me what was going on, and said that he had to give me a trespass warning by law. I told the deputy that I understood, and the deputy gave me the paper. The deputy also stated that I would not be allowed back in Walmart for 6 months. I advised the deputy I understood, and went on my way. BH

* This was a Walmart that I had shopped at many times, and problaly had spent thousands of dollars there since it opened, and this is how I was treated. I still wonder why those people had it out for me so bad, and I do admit that at one point, I raised my voice, and used profanity at the other two employees. However, I feel that I was treated unfairly, and cruely. All I wanted was some information, and a documented report, and this is what it came down to. I HATE Walmart with a passion, and will do everything in my power to let them know it.

* Does anyone have any advice on what I should do, or how I should handle this? I feel that I was made to be a fool in front of dozens of employees, and customers. Please help me someone.

Thanks so much everyone.
