Is a huge ripoff DO NOT BOTHER DEALING WITH THEM

A/C Was not working. Called Acree because diagnoses fee seemed reasonable. We even were planning on using their silver maintenance program as well. After the technician arrived, he quickly stated the capacitor was defective and we'd need a new one. After sitting down at the dinning room table we were told we'd need a new capacitor for $276 and a start capacitor for an additional $276 plus discounted diagnoses fee ($19). We were looking at a total of $571 to get it repaired. We'll we declined and did some research. We paid the non-discounted diagnoses fee of $69 which I believe is still reasonable; however we found a brand new capacitor from Grainger for $24 replaced the old one and now the A/C is working great. I just cant believe a company would mark the part up 1,050% plus the price of the part. A reasonable price to fix the issue would be parts plus a labor charge somewhere around $100-$120, just my opinion.
