Received a Consumer Preferred Platinum approval guarantee request in the mail. I am just starting to build credit, so I figured I would pay the $49 to receive my first credit card since I was not being approved for others because of my lack of credit line. The check showed up as clearing at the bank, but I never received the card. I got online curious to see if the company came up when I typed in the name of the card. When I did, I found other complaints with the same address as this one.

I guess you have to learn the hard way sometimes.
