'FREE' Grocery Scam

Cosentino's Price Choper, Blue Springs, MO has been running a points deal (scam) with their rewards cards. According to their printed information consumers get 'free' groceries with incremented levels of points earned purchasing groceries during a time (couple of months or so) of building points and then there is a 'redemption period' when redeeming points for 'free' groceries is allowed. After the 'redemtion period' is over, then the deal cycles back through another period of building points, then redemming them again during another 'redemption period'. But the FINE PRINT (believe it or not, you *even* have to read 'fine print' to get 'free' groceries) states that you have to spend at least $10 when redeeming points in order to get your 'FREE' groceries. So the groceries are not really 'free', there is a cost involved in redeeming the points, that cost is a minimum of $10. When I expressed disdain in being duped into spending my money there instead of competing stores to get the 'free groceries', the cashier today named Jessica, laughed like maybe I am just stupid for speaking up about this grocery points, 'FREE' grocery scam. Most persons expect to have to read 'fine print' when buying a car, home, etc, but groceries? When I called the corporate office about this, I was first sent to a voice mail, during business hours, and no it was not lunch time, but as usual with 'corporate America' these persons that have these jobs that they get a paycheck for, are often 'away from their desk'. I would like to get paid to be 'away from my desk too!'. Finally, someone named 'Keith' answered with a very stoic, short, obviously not interested in my complaint, attitude. He did not even give me his title there at the 'corporate office', until I asked if he was a manager there, he just said: 'yes'.in a very short, stoic, 'corporate voice'. Oh well, yet ANOTHER big business duping the public into spending their money as long as we 'understand' that 'legally' (according to the 'fine print' in their published brochure) the groceries really not 'FREE'.
