Ripoff holding $1665 of our money, malicious treatment, won't put anything in writing, unprofessional from day one

Our treatment by Merchant Services, Inc. Of Plainview, New York has been unprofessional from day one.

But we really got hammered when they decided to "hold" a day's worth of VISA card sales totaling $1665. That was back in July. We haven't seen a dime of than money since, even though our monthly statement would have you believe that they have paid us the money!

We complied with a request to verify a larger-than-normal transaction that was perfectly legitimate in all ways.

Even though we provided all of the required documentation, they verbally demanded that we contact our VISA cardholder (our customer) issue a refund, and ask for some other form of payment. We asked them to put this demand in writing and we were told, "MSI never puts anything like this in writing. Too bad. There's nothing you can do. Management has made its decision."

If we had complied with their verbal demands, we not only would be out the original $1665 (which they are "holding" indefinitely), but also ANOTHER $1655 would have been snatched from our account.

Every demand they have made of us would put us in violation of VISA/MASTERCARD standards, and would have triggered profitable contract clauses for MSI.

We have complained in written, direct-but-professional form with the President of MSI, and with the local Better Business Bureau. MSI has utterly ignored us.

Never, ever, do business with Merchant Services, Inc. Of Plainview, New York. You have been warned.
