I contacted Cingular wireless directly in May for my family plan & phones. I was not told that if it was not paid by a certain date that I would be charged a reconnect fee.

The other problem is that their representatives on the telephone are Rude, disrespectful, dishonest, and will right out lie to you on the telephone stating that you are the one who made the error of not paying your bill therefore you are being charged a reconnect fee when it was the company themselves who disconnected the wireless service even when payment arrangements had been made.

Then to top it all off, I recently had my cell service interrupped before the due date. When I called to find out why, I was informed that you have another account with cell number *. I explained to them that I do not have any other cell phone, bill or other, and request that they send me everything that they had to prove that this was my account.

They transfered me to their FRAUD department. Well, I am here to tell you their FRAUD department is not doing their job. I also called them and have left several messages to call me back, yet I had been informed that they had called back. Yet there was never any message on my phone, cell phone, pager, or work number.

Then, yesterday I received an email from their collection department Ionics, indicating that I have a past due bill that needs to be paid. I have emailed them regarding the situation requesting copies of all cell phone records, signed agreement, proof of me receiving the cell phone that they say I have received and made phone calls to be sent to me certified return receipt. The topper is that they indicate that this other cell phone made calls to and from my family plan cell numbers, and that both numbers match both cell phone account numbers.

A Lawsuit needs to be started because of the illegal practices that they are doing to innocent people, and charging them outrageous rates for things that are not our faults - they are the ones who disconnect your phones, then charge you for reconnection fees. If they would leave the phones alone and do as they are told from the customers regarding their plans, things will go alot better for everyone involved.
