Best Relocation, MTF Relocation is holding our belongings hostage unless we pay them $1000 more than quoted

We were quoted for a move from Sacramento to Nashville for $700 for up to 800lbs. We were giving a verbal agreement that if our weight exceeded the 800lbs they would upgrade our package from 800lbs to 1500lbs for $50 more. We packaged our goods, and upon arrival they told us that they needed to rebox some of our stuff with 3 wardrobe boxes, and they would charge us $35 per box. I reluctantly agreed, and they loaded our stuff onto the truck. The mover assured me that they would not charge us more than $105 for packaging materials. After we moved I called there offices after not hearing from them for a couple of days. The dispatcher grabbed my file and told me that they were charging us and additional $575 dollars for packaging material such as bubble wrap and additional boxes, a $86 fuel surcharge, and a additional $196 for surplus weight even though they were supposed to upgrade us to the 1500lbs package for $50 more. The total we were originally quoted for was $865 including the three wardrobe boxes that we were reluctant to pay for. We gave them a deposit of $105 upon receiving our initial quote. We were told that the remainder of $760 would be due COD. Now they are holding our belongings hostage unless we pay $1300, and then pay an additional $600 COD. Thats over $1000 higher than our original quote! When we call now they never transfer us to Brian, who was our original sales representative, and are curt and rude with us. After reading other peoples reviews of the Company I am afraid to even pay them any more as it looks we still may never see our stuff. Or our stuff will arrive broken. Somebody please advise me of how I can deal with this.
