I am going to tell you about a company called Golden Moment Studio or GMS. They are a scam. So buyers beware! This is how they scam you.

Someone comes to your door asking for a donation of 20.00 for your local fire department. If you donate in return they give you a coupon for a free 10x13 potrait.

The people that come door to door are not from the fire department they are from Golden Moments Studio.

I donated to the fire department recieved my coupon, and had pictures done. I still have yet to receive my pictures. Its been 8 weeks since I had them taken. I have made numerous phone calls to the business. All I get is the answering machine. No return phone calls ensuring me about my pictures.

What you don't know is the donation that you give, only a fraction of the 20.00 goes to the fire department. The other fraction goes to the studio. If you want me to get technical, 6.00 goes to fire department and 14.00 to the studio.

So if anyone comes to your door for donations ask questions, like who are you with, how much of my donation goes to the fire department, and get a receipt.
