YIGAL AVIANI, JANET AVIANI Complete scam, rip-off & horrible customers service

I am still currently fighting with Omega Shipping reps. This has been one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had to deal with. I'm moving from Miami to Bermuda, I sold everything and only needed to ship 2 couches & 1 box of items. A quote, from Yigal Aviani for the 2 couches & 3 boxes (i was over estimating costs with 3 boxes) was $1100... Fine... I gave them a deposit... The shippers came in mid October... Boxed my stuff up (2 couches and only 1 box), and took it away. I later, early November request my status & they send a bill for $1600 saying the 'cubic feet' was larger than expected. With arguing, I finally let them claim victory and paid the remainder.

Waiting, waiting, waiting, I call my correspondent, Janet Aviani, on December 30th to ask if the shipment has been sent out. They tell me the boat left 4 days ago, but they 'forgot' to put the shipment on it. This was an outrage, paying that much already & waiting this long, this was completely unacceptable. They say they will pay 20% back since it was their fault (approx $300).

We finally get the couches in Bermuda shipping docks, have to pay MORE taxes... (thought this was in the initial quote). Seeing the paperwork it says total 2 packages, not 3. I have to contact Omega again and they tell me they consolidated the boxes, so I say 'this changes the cubic feet to less right'... Wrong. Of course. They 'tallied it in already'.

So get the couches, one has considerable damage, but at least they've arrived, January 16th. I email Janet about the compensation she promised for their idiocy and she tells me once they get a check from the shippers they will send us ours. Nice to know they blatantly tell us that they are middle men with other random shippers.

Now 2 months has gone by, I've contact Janet & Yigal. Janet has disappeared into space & Yigal showed me his lovely temper & stated how the damage was my problem and that I should have gotten insurance, when I correct him telling that I did, he states, "well talk to them, it's not our problem." I ask about the compensation for their forgetting, and he claims he knows nothing about it.
