Rebate scam

On 12/04/09, I bought a Cuisinart Coffee Machine from Macy's. The Initial Cost of the coffee machine was $79.99 having a purchase cost of $44.99. I'd a "family and friends" discount for 10% producing the sum total $40.49. The salesperson assisting me create my choice explained there is a $10 refund with this product and offered me the refund form that we shipped on 12/21. The refund form believed to permit 8 - 10 weeks-so on 2/19, I named to check on the refund status. They explained to call-back easily hadn't obtained it from the 2nd week in march. I called back on 3/1 plus they explained to call-back on Friday the 12th. On 3/12, I called back plus they explained to contact again in 2 more months. This could allow it to be 12 wees since delivering the refund. Unsure if Macy's offered poor info or even the Cuisinart refund is just a scam but I Have currently consumed significantly more than $10 of my period with this particular problem. I expected for that unique barcode to be delivered in my experience and so I might return product as haven't yet applied it. They'll not return. Not too certain I'll buy Cuisinart products in potential and sometimes even store Macyis again when I feel this can be a scam. You will find way too many merchants to select from and way too many producers to permit this... Despite the fact that just $10.
