CAMCO Got first letter today

Got a letter from them today for an old Discover Card debt. They say I owe $3013.07.
Says they purchased the account from Midland Receivables Corp. I estimate the debt to have been charged off about 10 years ago.
My credit is now excellent and I can't remember the last time I heard from someone trying to collect the debt.
Looking at the other posts I assume I'll start to get harassassing phone calls sometime soon.
Luckily I've read enough on this site to know I don't have to pay but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice as to how to handle this.
