Tony - the account representative toner scam

Third time in 3 years that we have received invoice for $560.74 from Corporate Data Systems. It is directed to Accounts Payable for toner supposedly ordered. The first time I paid it. The second time, I knew that toner was included with our copier lease. Called the company and they gave me the run around about someone in our company had ordered and signed for it, but could not say who. Impossible as I do both the ordering and write the checks.

Received a third invoice today, same thing, addressed to accounts payable for toner. I called the phone number and was told Tony handles our account but he was out. Had a male from our company call, and amazing, Tony was there. He told us that it was a mistake and that another company had ordered toner, but don't worry, if we had paid it, the money would have been returned as they were aware of the error. When asked why it wasn't returned the first time, he had no knowledge of the situation. Asked that a $0 balance invoice be sent/faxed immediately, he said he would. Still waiting...
