AT&T Yellow Pages Online YellowPages.com Fraudulant Internet Advertising Sales, You won't get what you are promised

Shops, Products, Services

AT&T yellow pages contacted me about advertising on yellowpages.com I was guaranteed 90 clicks a month to my web-site for $635 in March. I was told it would take a full 60 days for the ad to go completely live.

I was never given a proof of my ad and they published my competitors logos and phone number with my company name. I was furious and tried to get them to fix it for 60 days to no avail. I spoke with Dianne Porter who agreed to suspend my account until further notice even though I wanted to cancel the ad.

In November, I was told if I didn't spend more money with AT&T for online advertising that the ad would go live. I made dozens of phone calls trying to get it canceled before it was to go live. I was told to contact the original rep, then customer service then a manager. No one has the authority to get this canceled in writting.

I decided if I advertised in my local phone book with a local rep that maybe he can help. He said he would talk to his boss. I was later told the bosses came to town to make sales quota at the end of the book. The very person I tried to get to cancel the ad was trying to make quota. Ha!

So it made sense that as soon as I bought this local ad my internet ad went live. I found it to be quite a concidence when the internet ad had the identical look of the phone book ad I suspected the manager had a part in making that ad go live. Needless to say I called and complained again and I started receiving a bill for the online services that was to be canceled and on hold months ago. It was especially upsetting when I found out from the local rep and other business owners I could have bought that ad for $90 a month instead of $635. A month.

I was right when I realized I was also sold a bill of goods when I only received a couple of clicks for the first month and one of the clicks was my own checking it out.

I also called and complained the still have the name of my business wrong. I sent emails an new logos but no one will change it. They even put in their own made up slogan not mine.

Then I got a call which they record, in November, six months later they wanted to inform me about the clicks I am guaranteed. They proceed to tell me the 90 clicks a month is figured at the end of the year. You still have to pay for the ad and then if they are short those calls they will keep your ad up until you get 1,080 calls. At the rate they are going they will never get me 1,080 calls & it is certainly misleading sales tactic.

To say you are guaranteed 90 calls a month means monthly not annually. I was told if I didn't get 90 calls a month I didn't have to pay anything.

AT&T lost their shirt when they bought out Ma Bell and www.YellowPages.com. They are trying to recoop their money the only way they know how.instead of making YellowPages.com a popular search engine that would drive traffic. They are trying to scam their way out of their problem.

I would like to join a class action lawsuit, because I know I am not the only victim of this 90 click a month scam.By the way there is no way to go on line and see how many clicks you are getting, you have to trust the bill.
