Extortion attempt

I contracted with Federal Moving Systems to move approximately 2000 pounds of household goods in December. They insisted upon a deposit of approximately $352 to be made via Paypal in order to guarantee the quoted price for poundage and pick-up date. Money was sent via paypal. I tried for several days prior to the guaranteed pick-up date to call in order to confirm the time. Less than 24 hours prior to the guaranteed pick up date, I was contacted by Max (the alleged owner, who refused to give his last name) only to be told that the price was going to be approximately $2000 more than the contract due to another individual cancelling. Max stated that the other party had their money completely refunded by Federal, "because these things happen" and that I "need to understand how business works". I attempted to cancel with Max and he refused to refund my deposit and told me that if I wanted the original guaranteed price that the move would have to be postponed 2-3 months. Buyer beware, don't waste your hard-earned money on a shady mover!
