Lynell Brown
Risse Jones Targeted by a craigslist ad for a wedding dress for sale

Shops, Products, Services

I was contract via email after only a few hours after posting an ad on Craigslist for a wedding dress for sale. I received numerous emails telling me that this person would be sending me a bank certified check in the mail for the payment. However then apparently things got messed up and the payment for the item and the expense for the shipping (someone was going to come by my house and pick up) where incorrectly added together and mailed to me USPS mail. It took from Dec 20th until Dec 28th for the payment to finally get to me, possibly due to the holiday season. When I received it, it was a check issued by a Technology company from a FL bank. When my bank called them apparently this was not the first one inquired about and the bank stated it was a scam.
