Ripoff tricked and lied to us

In January I bought a sofa from Rhodes furniture and paid cash for it. I was given a delivery date of 3 weeks later. Then a few days later they call me to give me an about time for delivery for the next day. I am so confused.

I call sales rep she says "Oh we got it in sooner". So it is delivered and I notice it has the tags on it that were on the display sofa. There are tears in the material. I call up and tell them I did not order a display model nor did I receive a display model price. My sales rep tells me they are discontinued so I have to take this one or get something else. I take a few days to talk to my husband and miraculously they call back and have a whole warehouse of them, when do I want it delivered. I ask about the discontinuing. She doesnt know.

I get the new one. It doesnt quite feel right. The cushions sink down into the front of the frame when you sit on it but I am no furniture builder so I just think maybe its new and still stiff. So now in July I pull the cushions off to vaccuum and the springs have popped up through the material and the top velvet where the skirt begins is getting holes all down the length of the sofa. They send out a guy he looks at it says the frame is broken and he has to take paperwork to office. No one ever calls back so I call customer service and they tell me they are waiting for parts and they will call me when they come in and they will take me sofa to fix.

They are going to rebuild the decking. So I will be without furniture since all I have is this sofa and a recliner. I told her I dont want it fixed I want it replaced. It was like this when I got it. She says and you're just now calling. No I dont know anything about furniture.

I did not know the decking was bad. I only knew something was wrong because springs are popping up. This is the 2nd sofa they have given me and neither one has been any good besides the first one they tried to pawn off a floor model without telling me and then try to make me think they are discontinued.

I work too hard for my money and I dont make that much of it and if I buy an $800 sofa I expect it to last longer than 5 months. They say their warranty claims they will try to fix it. I dont want it fixed I want it replaced. They are scammers, liars and I dont trust them at all. I will never buy anything else from these people again. I have a mattress set, bedroom set and coffee/end tables to purchase in the near future and it wont be from Rhodes.
