Scam, Rip Off, Uncaring, Total Joke, Please do not be suckered in to this!

Like many girls, I have long aspired to be a model. I sent my picture to many different agencies, but to no avail... Except for Mckenna. They called me in for an "audtion" which requires sitting in a room with about 30 other people, while Jackie McKenna stands and talks about her company and "success" stories for about 45 minutes. Afterwords, each person is called back individually, to discuss being signed on. BUT, not before she lets you know that "not everyone will be picked". LIES.

Here is why: She spends the EXACT same amount of time with each person in her little back room, telling them exactly what she told me. If not everyone gets picked, then some people would have walked right in, and right back out. But instead, she talks with you, butters you up, makes you feel good about yourself, and attempts to get a deposit on your $400-700 set of pictures. What's that? Have your own pictures you say? Well, well, she has that covered too my friend. Even if you have professional pictures from a professional photographer, she will most likely not accept them, and you will still have to pay SOMETHING TO HER.

No legitimate modeling agency asks for money upfront.

I declined, saying I did not have $700 for pictures, which I did not. She called me about 2 weeks later and said she would cut the price to $300 to "get the ball rolling" because I was going to be a "great fit" there. HOW KIND OF HER! Alas, more lies. The more expensive packages include more wardrobe changes, the $300 package is considered a "mini", that is all she sold me, nothing was discounted, she just took what she could from me. Oh, also, she claims hair and makeup are included, but don't get too excited, she does it herself, and not well.

Then, came the photo shoot, rush in, rush out, (she won't tell you what to bring specifically, because she doesn't care), and takes other phone calls in between shots. Ridiculous. She comes off as a very kind woman, but she is only after your money. Please do not fall for this joke of a company.
