I went into this store and as soon as I walked in both women behind the counter started staring at me. To make them more at ease and realize I wasn't going to steal I opened my jacket and kept my hands out.
I was looking at the essential oils and seeing if they had what I needed (they did and the are horribly over priced. Go to Apples brooms and cauldrons. They have what you need for a really good price.)
The owner approaches me and says something along the lines of "can you please return the oils that you are hiding?" I looked at her weird because I had no idea what she was talking about.
Mean while there are like 20 people in the store because some holiday thing was going on and she picked me out of the crowd to accuse. She had it out for me as soon as I walked into the store.
I told her I had nothing in my pockets, she said she was going to call the police. I told her she should. I also offered to let her look in my pockets and go through my stuff to prove I was not stealing. She did so.
Nothing was in my pockets and she turned beat red and grabbed the phone. I assumed she was going to call the police and I was more than willing to talk to them. But she hid behind the counter so I could not see her, so I am standing there like a tool waiting for her to let me go. My friend asked the other woman working if we could go and she said "I don't know ask Erin."
So we did and she said yes we could leave. I went home and told my sister what had happened and she was upset. She called and the woman was completely unprofessional and said that after we left the item was returned. Then she would know that I wasn't stealing because her co-worker was watching us the whole time. She also said that she did not see me put anything in my pockets or even look at the cameras. Nor did she apologize after realizing I was innocent.
This woman is a racist she had it out for me as soon as I walked into the store. (a friend of mine said the same thing happened to her) She publicly humiliated me, and I will not be treated this way. Do not go into this store.
