Brian Bell | President Obtained Services with Failure to Pay, Threatened with False Legal Action

Brian Bell (President of Links Publications Incorporated) hired me to perform some data recovery on a server that went down at hisfacility. The servers were managed byGoDaddy and Brian was told by GoDaddy that the data he had hosted on hisoriginal HDD was lost. Brian asked me toreview the contents of the old HDD and port any data that I could find to hisnew environment, which I did. Once thedata was restored to the new environment, Brian needed assistance reading theconfiguration files and updating the information within his Plesk console. I converted all of the configuration filesinto plain text files exported them off the server and mailed them toBrian. Once this was complete, Brian washaving issues with email accounts and noticed that some of the configuredaccounts were not rebuilt on the system; it was at this point things startedgetting sticky. I have performed all ofthe above tasks to his liking and requested payment for the work, he said hesetup my account within Citizen's Bank and they would cut the check and thecheck never came. I informed Brian thatI could not perform any additional work until payment was received and heinformed me I would have to talk to his lawyer (also his wife) Rakel Meir. He will not give me any contact for hislawyer accept for a mailing address that he used when I sent him the databackup I created on DVD of his environment. Since this fiasco stated with failure to pay, I havecontinued to mail and email a copy of the invoice to Brian Bell every Friday. He is now claiming there is a criminalinvestigation against me for harassment, I called my police department and theyinformed me it was a civil complaint and they won't investigate. Brian then claimed I hacked into his server, deleted services, and posted his usernames and passwords on craigslist alongwith calling his voicemail stating "my name" and saying that I amwith the sheriff's department and that the calls were transcribed by the policedepartment. I proceeded to call mypolice department (with apologizes for bothering them) and inquired about suchinvestigation and low and behold my police department did receive a call fromBrian Bell of North Andover, MA but the story that Brian gave had to many holesand it still was considered a civil matter, so they will not persue it. I know my only way to resolve this issue is a civil casethrough small claims court, but what else can I do to protect others from thisindividual?
