Beautiful Memories Bill ripoff of amateur wedding videographer and photographer who did not complete wedding album after being paid full price over $350 dollars We had nothing but awful memories, lots of headaches, loss of money, time and lots of stress

When my husband and I were getting married in November 1998 we were looking for a professional videographer and photographer to capture the memories of our wedding day.

What better place to choose than "Beautiful Memories" right?! Well how WRONG we were. We had nothing but awful memories, lots of headaches, loss of money, time and lots of stress.

When I went to meet the owner "BILL" he promised everything. I directly asked him if he had a professional videographer to tape our wedding day/night? He assured me he did. Bill took the photographs and he drove our limo.

The agreement was to pay 1/2 up front and pay the other 1/2 before the wedding date. So we did he got his full amount before he even shot one picture.

Everything seemed to be professional until after the wedding when it was time to see the finished product. Bill gave me the negatives to pass out to the family who had to purchase a certain amount of pictures otherwise we were responsible for the extras. This was not a problem for us because it was a massive Irish Wedding. I have over 120 cousins on my side that is not to mention the 14 brothers and sisters on BOTH of my parents sides so there was lots of relatives to purchase pictures.

So as you can understand it took a few months for the pictures to circulate the family with relatives in and outside of Illinois and many in Ireland. So finally when I returned the negatives Bill assured me that it would take no longer than 6 weeks to get all the photos processed and the album complete. Well 6 months went by after the 3 months of passing the negatives around to the family and still no call or attempt to finish our wedding album. After several trips of broken promises that the album was complete and two children later I finally made him give me all my negatives and had to finish the album myself.

That is not the end! The videographer he hired was obviously an amateur and he even admitted it after I confronted him because we all look like we had "chinnease eyes" Not that I don't like the chinnease feautres but when your Irish and look nothing like that I sure do mind. Plus when the video man was going around and asking our guests to say a few best wishes to the Bride and Groom when he got to my IN-LAWS who live in Ireland he just stood in front of them for honestly 3-5 minutes and did not explain to them what they were to do so they are standing there saying hello to the camera wondering what the hell this guy is doing and by the time they figured it out 5 min. Had past.

Then when I saw the tape b/c my poor mother-in-law was mortified and had warned me ahead of time what had happened she asked to make him that part out and I asked Bill to re-edit the tape and take it out and he still left that part in. Then the video man was taping something else when my hubby was taking off the garter - Which was actually very funny b/c when he was done and he had it in his mouth my 3 year old niece at the time came up and took it out of his mouth and said "hey give that back that's my auntie Raine's" and everyone watching laughed and he didn't even tape it. OH there is so much more that they literally made this a sour memory but I am going to stop here!

All I have to say is do not go to Beautiful Memories in Bridgeview IL on Harlem Av because you will have anything but Beautiful Memories. THE staff is family owned/operated and they end up telling you their problems instead of focusing on what is supposed to be a happy memory for the bride and groom and family to enjoy. Now we don't even have a wedding tape to show our children because he hired an amateur and got paid full price for it.

I ran into Bill in a Walgreens one night my hubby and I were going to a wedding and he pretended that nothing even happened, and when I asked him if he was still in Business he said "Oh Yeah I am actually at a wedding right now up the road I just ran here to get some more film because I ran out" I said Yeah that sounds like your unorganized business and walked out!!
