Here is my horror story. I recieved papers from the IRS. I know I owed them but Im retired and was waiting until this coming June to pay them because then I could use my 401 k money without penalties. But being on a fixed income with my retirement check monthly I didnt want them to garnish my monthly check. I looked on the Internet for help and Got to Roni Lynn Deutch and since I had seen them on TV advertisements I Figured they could do the job. I called them got a answer service and left my message. The next morning I got a call from Christian Romero a fast talking young man He told me oh yes no problem we can handle it. We do everything. If you pay me 1600 today we will get right on it. They would be unable to make a deal with the IRS because I had the money owed in my 401 K. If I didnt pay today it would be 2.000 dollars for installment payments... I told him I would think about it let me get back to him... He called back a couple days later and I said ok I would go along with the payments. But at this time the price became 2500.00.. Which he said I misunderstood. And I know I didnt. I had heard everything he said... Ok I want to get this done... At this point he explains I will have to get my taxes done... I told he the way he had talked it was like it came with the price I was to pay. They were only going to work out a submit a payment plan no making of a deal to save me money. I told him at this point I only had 500 dollars a month I could budget in for the payments. Since I was going to deal with there company to do my taxes... No Problem they tax people will work with you. No problem whatsoever... Again I told him maybe I need to wait and get some more money together. No its urgent you get right on this because they could garnish your check at any time now. So I said ok. I made a 500 dollar payment on my debit card... At this point I got a number to call the for the Tax Service and I called them... I got an A Farzana and she was very good at the info... Totally separate company still owned by Roni Deutch. But they needed money also to do the taxes... And in Reality she said I should get my taxes done first before I hire an attorney... I tell her I want her to do my taxes and I would have to wait until the 1st of the month to make a payment. Remember Im working with a 500 dollar a month budget. At this point I call back Mr Romero cause he lied to me. I wanted to cancell period. This is like 30 minutes later. Got the answer service... No call for 3 days. Wasnt like when I was trying to get in touch with them. He knew he had lied... I get an Eric who calls back 3 days later. He is in the next division. Romero just signs you up. SO Eric really didnt listen to me about him lying... Basically blew me off on that... Again I try to work with them Yes IM DUMB... Eric told me that he would be sending my papers for me to sign about the payment plan and power of attorney... I told him at this time I would not send the papers off until after the first of the month because we needed to start a month later because of the money I had to pay the Tax Preparers Division... Ok the first came around and I Paid 500 dollars to the Preparer and got her started... I got a call a day later from a very Rude Nonchalant collector of payments who informed me that unless I paid I would be dropped... I tried to tell him what had happened and he didnt care. Dont matter pay or get dropped... I told him that the way they do business they left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. He told me that the company knew exactly what they were doing
I told him that his company hadnt done one thing on my case because I had never sent them the information or my papers yet. He said the case was ongoing. And hung up on me... I am dropped... I had paid them 500 dollars (which is 25 % of my monthly income) and one month later Im dropped... And they didnt do a thing. They just took my money simple as that... If anyone can help me I would welcome your input... Just an Old Retired man who worked all his life..
