Ripoff, deceptive company, false promises Coarl Springs

I agreed to have Coral Van Lines move my belongings from Cleveland Ohio to Orlando Florida on May 28. The movers arrived a few hours late, which put things behind schedule. I was also informed packaging of large breakable items was free on the phone, but when it came time to pack them, I was told I had to pay for the packing materials. A

Lso they tried to pull a stair charge on me, but I did get that waived. The movers were supposed to dissasemble items because I was paying by cubic foot, but they did not do that, and they packed the truck poorly, which made my initial estimate of $1500 turn into $2074. My boyfriend did get some items dissassembled, but a lot of large ones we didn't have time to do.

I was told it would take 5-8 days to recieve my items, but it took 10. When I recieved my items, the movers were supposed to put the items into the rooms where they belonged and reassemble items that were taken apart. They put all of our items into the living and dining room, to the point where you couldnt even walk through it. The only item they put in a different room was the bed and bed frame, and when they did that, they put a large hole in my wall! I noticed that some of my items were damaged, and I tried to contact the company before the movers left about missing and damaged items, but there was no answer. The drivers took off quickly after that.

I finally got a hold of the company and complained about missing and damaged items, and they told me it was impossible to be missing items and that I just must not have seen them. Well, I am missing 4 boxes, a dresser and half an entertainment center. They said that everything must still be in storage, and they would find it and deliver it. I was not told my items would be put into storage either. The entertainment center that I am missing half of was one of the items not taken apart at the time of the move. They did that to make me pay extra and then take it apart to put in storage! Many items are water damaged from storage including my headboard, and a barbie doll collection worth a lot of money. They are arguing with me about paying damages on items in boxes that were packed by me, but most of the damage in the boxes is from water from them putting things in storage. I sent pictures of my damaged items, and they told me that they think my items were old and damaged before the move. My sectional couch, large lamp, end tables, mattress and boxspring, pub table and chairs were all under 6 months old!

They do not return my phone calls, still have not found my missing items, and are not doing anything to make the situation better. Now they are saying someone stole my missing items, and it wouldnt suprise me because I am missing almost 30 DVDs worth over $600! The latest thing they told me was to weigh everything in my house for insurance purposes. I am a 5' tall, 90 lb woman, how the hell am I supposed to do that? I can just imagine me lugging my big screen to weigh it! Where would you even get a scale to do that? They were supposed to have the weight at the weigh stations at the time of the move. They seem to think I have all the time in the world to try to do this and send pictures and I still am getting nowhere. These people are ridiculous and totally unprofessional.

I have not recieved any compensation for damages or missing items, not even an apology! I filed a complaint with the BBB, but the company hasnt responded yet. I think it may be court time soon!
