Ripoff swindler sold me a "pallet of electronics" on eBay which turned out to be 2 small boxes of left over junk from Grandma's attic. Misrepresentation!

Shops, Products, Services

This company posted an auction on eBay advertising a "Pallet of Electronics/Computers" with an MSRP of $1000-$1500. The idea was to then re-sell these items at a small profit. They claimed that these items came directly from the manufacturer, and that most were new in the box. The bidding started at $299 and I bought it for $355. They charged $135 for shipping.

The auction listing showed a photograph of an actual "pallet" (skid) with approx. 30-40 items/packages stacked on it. The word "sold" was pasted over the photo. Later in the ad, sample pictures were posted of various electronic components, with a "no guarantee" statement that those items may or may not be in the "pallet". The initial photo of the "pallet", however, did NOT state that it was simply a "representation".

For a total of $490 ($355 for the "pallet", and $135 shipping), I received 2 small cardboard boxes with mostly junk. It looked as if they had recently cleaned out their attic, and dumped a bunch of junk into those boxes just to get rid of it. Half of the stuff does not work. The MSRP was grossly exagerated. The computer-related items were several years old and extremely out-dated. MSRP might have been accurate 4-5 years ago.

The amount of items I received do not even begin to fill a pallet. When I confronted the establishment, I was told that since I am "new" to the business of buying factory returns and "electronics pallets" I needed to understand that this was normal, and that what I received was to be expected. The "pallet" came directly from the retailer to them to me...

The reality is that I have purchased other legitimate "pallets" for the same money that are worth 10 times what they sent me. Example: 18 microwaves new in boxes from a KMart that went out of business. I paid $500 and picked up the "pallet" myself. Same price that I paid for 2 small boxes of crap from these morons who falsly advertised and misrepresented themselves on eBay.

There are many distributer/wholesalers selling shelf-pulls and store returns who are much more honest and straight forward than these jokers. These boxes of garbage were certainly not worth the starting price of $299.

There is no way I will be able to resell even half of the garbage they sent me...
