Lawyer took my money and refused to contact me

I totaled my car back April. I soon found that the car I had bought was a salvage rebuild. The car lot that sold me the car failed to disclose this informtaion to me which is a felony in NC.

I researched all the information about the laws, and organized everything into a booklet (I did most of the work for the attorney). He said his fee was $400 cash or check. He did not accept debit. I left his office and went to the bank and withdrew $400 in cash. I had to illegally park my car at his building because there we no parking spaces and I was not going to walk through down town with that much cash on me.

He did not write me a recpiet (stupid on my behalf, but I will go back to my car wreck and tell you that I had recived quite a lot of brain trama to the head which I had trouble thinking or remembering things clearly) the next few months Rick sent a few emails to me.

He said that would officially start on my case after he was done with the one he was working on now. Next time I talked to him he said he would start on my case after he returned from his vacation. Finially he made a move on my case and sent a letter to the car lot. He also sent me a copy of this letter.

Several months went by and the communication between me and my attorney faded out. Rick would say that he had not heard from the owner of the car lot. Soon rick stoped responding to my emails, and never returned my phone calls. I called many times, but he was always out of the office. It has been over 2 years since i paid him. I finially gave up on ever getting my $400 cash back.

This is a very crappy attorney, that will run off with your money. I suggest you find an attorney worth putting your money into.
