Allen & Associates TOO SMART 4 SCAM

This "Career Placement" lady from A&A contacts me on Thursday 10/1 with somewhat of a "belittling" tone telling me she received me resume (Which I did not provide) and asking me about my job search and efforts. Five minutes into the conversation she proceeds to tell me I seem to have doubts of the career path and executive position I shall be pursuing and that she was going to email me some information about her company and some questions for me to answer so that she can "research" and assess a best fit for my skills and experience.

I did fill out questionnaire and agreed to a follow up call on Monday 10/5 at 3pm. I looked at websites provided on her email but thought nothing of it as have encountered these-type of calls before and know it usually ends nowhere! Long and behold, I get a call at 3pm as agreed upon but this time, started to research the company WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH ME when noticed lots of complaints and scam reports on the web... That's when I proceeded to ask some heavy questions and told her I had file for unemployment benefits. After 10-15 minutes of inquiring in detail of status her "research" and what the $2100 Fee— (Upfront mind you)— was going to get me, she proceeded to tell me they were unable to help me and that likely could do the research on the positions she was suggesting for me on my own and that was the end of our "Career chat"... C'mon I was born at night but NOT LAST NIGHT!!! Moral of this story... Make sure you do your research early on and about any person/company you are engaging with. It shall be a part of your job search plan anyway. These people are praying on the vurnability of unemployed professionals and they MUST be STOPPED. Even though was able to catch this scam early on and paid them no $ please notify me shall any class action suit against Allen & Associates, its successors and/or assigns be filed...
