Pre-Paid Legal is OK if all you want is to call and ask questions but forget thinking they are a good way to go to use as insurance against law suits. This company finds every possible way to avoid defending you.

They won't defend you in family matters (divorce, child custody, etc.) or tax issues or business matters or criminal matters and others. Frankly, I can't think under what conditions they would defend you. And if they do defend you, the contract has time limitations that the attorney will devote to you. Attorney time increases the longer you are with them. But usually not enough for any real case.

As you could imagine, this agreement is so one sided towards the lawyers that very few people would get any benefit from this program.

So, if you have a lot of legal questions every month, it's worth it but forget about getting top-notch legal advice. On most occasions, I ask questions that either the lawyers can't answer or the answer can be found somewhere on the internet.
