Telemarketing scam

Every call we have received from them (at least 20-30) threatens to turn us over for collection. This has been going on for almost two years now and we have disputed their bill in writing.

The Sales Manager who took the call did not place this order. We sent their CD-Rom back to them and at one point they even tried to discount their invoice down to $100 claiming that we authorized the listing, etc. This is a total scam. I believe they tape record simple answers and then dub them together with other questions. That's their "2-part sales system".

Everyone targeted by these people should complain to your state and local Better Business Bureau and consumer affairs departments. Some consumer affairs group or state attorney general should go after them, but I hear that resources are scarce. On the theory that Ambus seems to target hotels, maybe our hotel associations can complain too if several members have been hit. Our legal department tells us that it's important that you object in writing otherwise they may use the bogus invoice against us in a collection action.

They have now started calling me daily to wear us down. Everyone stand firm and don't give in to their tactics!
