Actuarial Innovations - Hal Butler
Very innovative in poor business practices

I can not speak about Mr. Butlers Medical Innovations side of the organization, but I can attest to the practices of his Actuary Innovations. As other victims have outlayed, I responded to Hal Butler's ad on Career Builder where he stated there was an Entryl Level Assistant Actuaril Analyst position. Though I am not FULLY doubting the legitamacy of actually having this foretold position, I would like to bring to light the poor business practices of his firm.

After applying for the position, I was contacted by email for an initial face to face interview. I scheduled the interview and spoke to Mr. Butler about the positions that he had and he flashed different information at me about an actuary. During the interview, he "dangle the carrott" of a professional position, guaranteeing a starting salary of at least $50,000 and potentially $70,000 if I were to score 10/10 on the first exam. He then stated that in order to pass the exam, you would need to take a non-accredited class through someone who is supposed to be great at teaching this material AND pay him $380 to take the class. Now, I must stop here at the class. I never took the class but I did pay. After paying Mr. Butler for this wonderful opportunity, I decided to do a little research on his business, and found multiple reports on this site. As my initial gut feeling had told me, this guy was a fake. I then proceeded to let Mr. Butler know two weeks in advance that I would not be taking the class, and I demanded a refund. He stated that I was under contract and he would not do such a thing. This is where I have a problem...

Mr. Butler - It is ok that you may or may not have these actual positions available, as I know that you can "show everyone the contracts." However, it is NOT ok to screw people over for money. You say that you are a PROFESSIONAL business. A professional business is one that RESPECTS his clients, and one that possess a high degree of ethics and personal morals. I believe that we can both agree that the most ethical decision in which a person DOES NOT receive the services, and notifies you within a CONSIDERABLE amount of time, would be a complete refund. You must need this money more than I do, since you have gone to such extent to screw me over, along with the dozens of other people who have complained.

My advice to anyone who is considering the "position" is to be aware of the numerous accounts of people being duped. The reports speak for themselves, so no further explaination is needed. Remember, If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
