Cheated us on a broken washing machine on Craigs List

We purchased a washing machine and dryer from Mr. Thaxton this summer. He assured us they were in working order. When we tried to use the washing machine, it wouldn't complete the cycle. Mr. Thaxton promised over the phone to help pay for the repairs, but he never delivered on his promise. We paid $282 in repairs. He is also a realtor. Just wanted to let others know in case he advertises other items on Craigs List. I would also not want to deal with him as a realtor. Obvioiusly not an honest fellow.
