Beware!

I am writing this to warn other people who are looking on Petfinder for a dog to rescue. I found this so-called rescue group on Petfinder. It wasn't long before I was approved. Looking back, there are a lot of red flags I should have picked up on. First off, the ad lists the organization being located in Fort Lee, NY, when it's actually located in Middletown NY.in addition, I was told to give a $100 deposit and pay $550 in CASH which is extremellllllyy high for a rescue dog.

When I arrived to pick the puppy up, I was NOT allowed inside at all! My puppy was dirty and smelled. I was told he was healthy, but shortly after picking him up, he had to be rushed to the vet. I found out that he had pneumonia, kennel cough, ear mites, parasites, and was anemic. The vet rushed frantically to save my puppy's life and several thousand dollars later, she did. I was told that my puppy was seen by a vet during his whole stay and before I picked my puppy up which is a COMPLETE LIE. The fact is, my puppy never received medical care and the individual who runs the "rescue" could care less whether my puppy died, she just wanted the cash.

It's so hard for me to believe that anyone can be so heartless and greedy. This place is not a rescue, you aren't even told where the puppy is from. I asked several times, but the subject was changed. Plus, when I had the puppy in my hands, the price was increased. There are tons of puppies running around outside and inside. This place seems to me more like a puppy mill that is disguised as a rescue group. The positive feedback you see about this organization is propaganda. It's pretty obvious it's from the same person and nothing that is said is true.

Bottom line, be aware!!!
