Beware of used equipment

I purchased several pieces of used refrigeration equipment from Noel J. Wells Refrigeration in May.in total over $17,000 of equipment.

The first complaint I have is that he didn't properly set the equipment up. The evaporator pan wasn't put down; it was left on top of the unit. He just put the equipment in and left.

The first thing we noticed is that one the cases was infested with cockroaches and all the equipment was filthy. We took several days with several people just cleaning the equipment. Just what you want to be doing 2 days before opening.

Noel's attitude has been very non supportive. He won't return phone calls and won't answer questions. One of the units we bought doesn't work at all. He said he was going to look at it but never did. Now it just sits behind the store, I don't know what to do with it.

At this point he won't return calls or emails. Please be VERY cautious about doing business with this company. If you have to use a credit card that has good support post sales if things go wrong.
