Duped by Door-to Door United Family Circulation Sales

On 2-10-09 I listened to a spiel from young disabled door-to-door saleperson selling magazines. He said he lived in my area, and that my neighbor (using the first name) bought a subscription, that he was earning money for transportation to a special olympics event that he was competing in. He told me that he could do odd jobs around the house as an added benefit. I was easily duped and ordered a 2-year subscription for $54.
On May 23rd, I received an unsolicited magazine in the mail; not the one I ordered. I looked at my receipt and for the first time read the bold print "Company not in any way related to a non-profit or charitable... Program of any kind..." After calling the number given and twice leaving a message (I encountered the "mail box full" loop as well), I sent a letter to request the title of the magazine that I originally ordered. But, now that I have read so many complaints, all with similar scenarios, I feel lucky to have received any magazine at all.
My future advice to myself? Don't be duped by door-to-door.
