Civic it's about time!

I have never been the one to put CDG on blast, but this takes the cake. Last week, our office received a phone call from HR telling us that we will be closing and the last dialing date was 5/29/09. Managers and admins were to be there until 6/5/09 to assist in packing up equipment. Well today they called around 10 minutes before the shift ended and told us that today was our last day of dialing. Of course employees were angry because of how it happened and of the sorry tactics that were used by CDG to do it.

I have heard nothing but negative things about CDG since I have been employed there and that has been for some years. When we first opened up the office, the office was very professional and we have a decent Call Center Manager. When they transferred him, we had another CCM and he was also cool. Then, we got stuck with the last CCM, who is a complete jerk. He always targeted certain employees to fire and he was the worst manager that we have ever had. He didnt know how to run a call center and obviously didn't have much knowledge on anything else either.

The office had been going down every since 2007. My thing is they had called other offices before they had ever contacted us and gave then sixty days to close and they only gave us two weeks originally. Then they called the other offices and told them that they only had two weeks left. Then they called and told us today that we were shutting down today as well as other offices due to bankruptcy avoidance. I guess Mr. Keezer and his wife must be living lovely up there in Florida in their mansion.

I'm not too sad about the office closing, but not cool with how they did it. No one was really happy there anyway, but felt trapped there due to the economic crisis. You can't conduct dirty business and get away with it for too long. Now it's starting to fall back on them and I am glad. I hope that they do not open up another business until they take a class on how to treat their employees and know business ethics. They were the most unprofessional company that I have ever worked for.

From my understanding, within the past two weeks, they have closed down 10 offices nationwide and continuing to close offices. They had another layoff in corporate also, so it is all trickling right on down piece by piece. With their form of ethics and methods of how they treat their employees, they are soon about to crumble, so hey I don't feel bad.
