Following is a transcript of a live chat session with a customer service rep (I use the term loosely) on Friday, May 8:
[MaryBeth] I need to speak to a supervisor, please.
[Operator] The supervisor leaves at 4 on Fridays and she is already gone for the day.

[MaryBeth] That's a shame. I just had an employee of your company tell me I was the "dumbest customer he had ever dealt with in 10 years."
[Operator] Why would he have done something like that?
[MaryBeth] I'm not quite sure. I told him that we had received a better rate on our move and we were, therefore, going with another company. He started explaining to me that the company we chose only has one truck so it won't be them doing the move. I told him that it really didn't matter to me. He asked me to go online to check out a website. I told him I was headed out the door and felt that, over the past two weeks, I had done more than enough research to feel comfortable with my decision. I thanked him for his time. He kept on, trying to get me to visit a website while I was on the phone with him. He got very flustered when I said, "Thanks for your concern, I appreciate your time." He started going on again about how the company we chose won't be the one moving us, and how important that is. I told him, "Perhaps so, in moving parlance, it IS important. I'm in a hurry." He then said, "You are the dumbest customer I've ever dealt with in 10 years."
[Operator] Which company did you select?
[MaryBeth] We're going with Quality Move.
[Operator] What sites if you don't mind my asking did you check out concerning this company?
[MaryBeth] Look, I'm really here to just register a complaint.
[Operator] Considering it registered
[Operator] He is fired
[MaryBeth] Really? Which employee did you fire, since I didn't tell you his name?
[Operator] Brian
[MaryBeth] Interesting that you knew that.
[Operator] he came in my office angered with your decision
[Operator] and we fired him on the spot
[Operator] his 4 kids are going to take this hard
[Operator] santa wont be coming down the chimney this year
[MaryBeth] Sorry to hear that. Maybe he can spend some time with them teaching them to think before they speak.
Operator] Mary Beth, werent you on your way out the door?
[Operator] don't let it hit you where the good lord split ya
