Creative pricing is ripping consumers off

Upon learning that I had an interview with a competitor my manager began questioning me about sending our customers to them. When I finally did accepth the other position and out in my two week notice I was asked to resign immediatly and told by the manager that I would be paid for my unused vacation time (48 hours worth) and commission on sales for that occure during that time. However when my final check came, there was no vacation pay and my former employer refuses to pay. I live and work in Ohio.

This is the answer I got from Roomful.

"Dear Mr. Hanson,

Mr. Kuhn requested that I look into you unused vacation pay out.

Upon checking, I see that you are not eligible for unused vacation payout. Company policy states that employees working within their first two calendar years of service must complete 90 days in each of those years. 2009 was your second calendar year and you did not reach 90 days in 2009. We are unable to pay you any unused vacation."

It is R H Kuhn Company standard procedure to immediately accept the resignation of an associate who is going to a competitor.in cases where an employee gives a two week notice and the company terminates employment immediately, that employee has the right to sign up for unemployment compensation for those two weeks.

Even if you had worked out your notice, you still would not have reached your 90 days in this calendar year, therefore making you ineligible for vacation pay out. All requests for vacation pay out are reviewed at the corporate office and the determination of eligibility is made by the corporate office.
