(Michael J. Laramee Owner) Demanded payment by M.O. And refuses to refund monies or to ship items ordered

I placed an order for US $70.97 with this firm on December 10. They requested payment by money order made out to the owner Michael J. Laramee not the company, actual excerpt from their email follows.

Please make it out to: Michael J. Laramee (not e-clec-tech).

After the cash arrived they stated that the items would be shipped within one to two weeks because they were waiting for new stock.

I waited four weeks and then made an enquiry about my order. I received this for a reply:

(Order Status Confirmation Order Status: Will ship in 1-2 weeks. Tracking: USPS Shipment Order Date: 12/10
Order Number: e-clec-tech-3246).

After receiving this reply three times I then wrote: "I am beginning to feel that there is no sense in asking but here goes anyway Has my order been shipped yet"?

Four email's were written enquiring about the order with no reply. Then I wrote one requesting that either the items be shipped or the monies be refunded. If neither was done I would report him (Michael J. Laramee) to IC3. I then received the following reply: " (Hi HenryThe inventory hasn't come in yet so it might be better just to refund you. Or I can offer store credit towards what is in stock...)".

I requested that he refund my money by money order in US funds. The following is the reply I received:

It is illegal to threaten or harass residents or businesses in the state of Florida via electronic communicationsor across state lines...

Failure to do so (after being notified thusly) constitutes (and will be construed as) harassment.

Copies of these harassingthreateningor (attempts at intimidating) emails will be turned over to any legal authorities that contact us on your behalf...

Furtherany attempts to postor convey (via any means) libelousdefaming or any other negative connotations about this company its owner or employees will result in a lawsuit...

(very interesting spelling I guess that he is only proficient at ripping off people.)

As far as I am concerned this individual is nothing but a crook and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and not even be aloud to have a computer in his possession let alone use one. The Internet is full of complaints almost identical to mine about Michael J. Laramee and E-Clec-Tech. Unfortunately I did not investigate the company or him before placing the order and paying for it.

What I can not understand is how can he still be on the Internet when he has been doing this to people for years.

As a foot note: I have filled a report with IC3 regarding this individual all other complainants should do the same.
