Employed Online - Online Jobs Galore
Misrepresentation, possible/probable scam

Shops, Products, Services

I'm a freelance writer and editor, and I work at home. On one of my job searches, I came across a website called Employed Online (employed-online.com). Registration was free, so I signed up and found a couple of jobs right away that I qualified for — only to get a "sales-pitch"-y letter a few hours later for each of them that said, "Yes! The jobs you applied for are still available... Find out more about the unique Database of Online Jobs and gain access to the Database by going here: http://OnlineJobsGalore.com."

Http://OnlineJobsGalore.com takes you to one of those screaming, hyped sales pages where "a contribution of only $19.95" is required for access to the database of jobs.

Now, I'm no fan of paid sites, but some of them (Elance.com comes to mind) at least tell you upfront that they charge a fee. What screams "scam" to me here is that they wait until *after* you've applied for jobs to tell you they charge. I'll never give my money to a site that does that, and I'd stay very far away from this one. Jmo.
