I am in a union so I thought maybe this wasn't a joke. I opened this letter and was being offered a credit card. This card has a $10,000 limit, no bank affiliations, and 5% APR.

Reading further into the letter, I realize that this company doesn't want any proof of my identity, they want nothing more than a check or money order for $37 and my signature!

In the letter I also noticed that unlike a normal company they didn't use my legal name. They also call the $37 a annual membership fee in the beginning of the letter yet later in the letter they state that you will get the $37 back after you use the card for the first time?!?! How does that work?

Another big thing I don't understand is how they con people into this without it even being through a major credit card company. I mean think about it, when you go into stores or online, there are postings that say they only accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, ect. This is just insane!
